This is a Bible study created by the Navigators. In the introduction to the packet, they describe how they came up with the “Top Ten” list:
“The Top Ten were picked from a list of the top 40 chapters to study as chosen by a group of Christian leaders training short term missionaries from a variety of Christian organizations and churches. This cooperative group was called Co-Mission and it ministered in Russia after the breakup of the USSR. These missionaries studied these key chapters for a year.”
The packet also includes a list of the “Top Forty” from which the “Top Ten” list was created.
This Bible study was created by the Navigators. It is designed to help Christians understand the importance of “worldview”. The packet describes a worldview with these words from Ronald Nash (Faith and Reason)…
“A world-view is a conceptual scheme by which we consciously or unconsciously place or fit everything we believe and by which we interpret and judge reality.”
Each topic is organized into four sections to help the individual acquire a Christian worldview. The sections are:
*GodView–what does God say about this topic in the Bible?
*CrossView–what did Jesus do and say about this topic?
*LifeView–How do the above viewpoints affect how I live my life?
*InterView–What do others think of this topic and, particularly, a Christian perspective?
Topics include:
*Creation
*God
*Truth
*The Bible
*Eternity
*Individuality
*Meaning
*Pain
*Hope
*Values
*Relationships
*Forgiveness
*Vision
